A Miracle has arrived!

Paige Sarka and her husband, Robb, welcomed Jettson on August 18. Paige is our elementary Intervention Specialist. He is pictured here with his big sister, Ellianna.

So much love in one tiny bundle!

Huxley Louis Niese was born 5 weeks early on July 14th. He was 5 pounds 7 ounces and 18 inches long. He was transported to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus a few hours after birth. Huxley was dismissed from the NICU after a 6 day stay at Nationwide with no complications found to date! He's healthy and enjoying the company of his two big brothers, Brooks and Hank! Huxley is the son of Bethany and Jared Niese. Bethany is a First Grade teacher.

Marching Band Performs at Disney

The Wildcat Marching Band left for Disney on November 19. They spent their days at the Rainforest Cafe, Disney's Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, Universal Studios Resort and the Magic Kingdom. On Saturday morning they performed in the Magic Kingdom March and spent the afternoon enjoying the attractions.

EPCOT Soundtrack Session

At EPCOT on Friday, they spent the morning at the "Soundtrack Sessions: Instrumental" where they were immersed in the world of the professional musician. They were reviewed by a professional Disney Clinician that examined their skills, attitudes and priorities that are essential to musical excellence. The workshop ended with a special recording of their ensemble performing music along with a portion of a Disney Animated Feature Film.

Middle School Academic Club

Anna McVey, Riley Ricker, Loralei Goedde and Trent Kahle work to find the answer to their practice Quiz Bowl question.

Mrs. Gina Erhart, advisor, waits up front as Abby Stechschulte, Makenzie Bendele, Anna Kline and Case Wortkoetter work to get an answer for the question. In March they will compete against the Putnam County Middle School teams.

KHS Bloodmobile Success

Thank you to the students, staff, and community members who donated blood on October 30th. We had a successful day and collected 84 units! Great job, everyone! The next Bloodmobile at Kalida High School is set for March 12, 2026 from 10 AM to 3 PM. Please consider donating, if you are able. The number of units we collect in a school year determines the amount of scholarship money we receive for our graduating seniors. Last year, we collected 201 units of blood and received $3500. We are trying to do the same this school year. If you would like to donate blood, you should schedule an appointment. Appointments are every 15-minutes. To schedule, you can use the Red Cross Blood Donor App, go to redcrossblood.org, or let contact Mrs. Grime at the high school know what time you are thinking and she can schedule it for you.
