School News and Updates

*Today is Group and Activity Picture Day! All Seniors should report to the Auditeria after announcements and attendance.
* Kalida Sew and Sew 4-H club will be meeting at the Meadows of Kalida on Tuesday, March 3rd at 5:45pm. Please meet in the lobby. We will be done at 7:00pm.
*Activity Period on Wednesday any girls grade 8-11 interested in playing soccer will meet with Coach Kehres.
*Good Luck tonight to the HS Band and Choir who will perform at 7:30pm.

Important Reminders

*Please come out to support Kalida High School art students as well as other local high school artists at the Putnam County Arts Festival. Columbus Grove Schools are hosting the event this year. The Festival runs from 1:00 to 4:00 on Sunday, March 8th. Some of the best student artwork from the county will be on display. County Band and Choir will also be performing at 2:00pm.
*Kalida Athletic Booster Chicken BBQ is Sunday March 8, starting at 11:00am.
*Reminders to students 5-8 you are NOT allowed to text on your watches. Please keep it in your locker if you need to. All cell phones MUST be kept in your locker.
*Washington D.C. class trip papers have been sent home to current 7th graders. Please return the commitment
form and first payment by March 20, 2026 if you plan on going.
*The spring testing schedule has been posted to the school’s website. Please avoid any appointments during your child’s testing times.
*Our next blood drive is scheduled for Thursday, 3/12/26, from 10am-3pm in the HS gym. Appointments are every 15-minutes. Every unit we collect helps us earn scholarship money for our graduating seniors. Also, during the month of March, all successful blood donations will receive free A1C testing, which is commonly used to screen for prediabetes and diabetes. A1C testing measures your average blood sugar over the past 3 months and no fasting is needed. Plus, you'll get a $15 Amazon.com Gift Card by email for donating. If you'd like to schedule an appointment, please let us know. 
*Congratulations to the boys’ basketball PCL awards. Owen Grime received 1st team, Jaxon Hoffman and Logan Kerner were honorable mention & the Scholar athlete is Logan Kerner.
