School News and Updates

*Student section at sporting events. Please remember you are represting Kalida High School. You should clean up your trash when you are finished. If you are going to the games to push eachother around and horse play, please stay home- that behavior is unacceptable. Now, lets behave and cheer on the Boys basketball team Satuday!

*Please come out to support Kalida High School art students as well as other local high school artists at the Putnam County Arts Festival. Columbus Grove Schools are hosting the event this year. The Festival runs from 1:00 to 4:00 on Sunday, (March 8th). Some of the best student artwork from the county will be on display. County Band and Choir will also be performing at 2:00pm.
*Kalida Athletic Booster Chicken BBQ is Sunday March 8, starting at 11:00am.
*Girls grades 5&6, this is the final sign up if you want to play Softball.
*Great Job last night to the Varsity boys’ basketball team against Jefferson. Good Luck to them as they now play tomorrow at 7:00pm at Van Wert against Minster for the District title.

Important Reminders

*Due to weather conditions in Florida, strawberries will now be coming in week of 3/16. BBQ sauce is here!
*Washington D.C. class trip papers have been sent home to current 7th graders. Please return the commitment
form and first payment by March 20, 2026 if you plan on going.
*The spring testing schedule has been posted to the school’s website. Please avoid any appointments during your child’s testing times.
*Our next blood drive is scheduled for Thursday, 3/12/26, from 10am-3pm in the HS gym. Appointments are every 15-minutes. Every unit we collect helps us earn scholarship money for our graduating seniors. Also, during the month of March, all successful blood donations will receive free A1C testing, which is commonly used to screen for prediabetes and diabetes. A1C testing measures your average blood sugar over the past 3 months and no fasting is needed. Plus, you'll get a $15 Amazon.com Gift Card by email for donating. If you'd like to schedule an appointment, please let us know.
