School News and Updates

*Students walking to religion- PLEASE STAY ON THE SIDEWALK! Please respect the neighbor’s property and stay on the sidewalk.

*2nd and 3rd period study hall will be in the Auditeria today.

*A reminder to all students in Mr. Miller's 8th period American History class and Mr. Gerding's 2nd period government class to report to the community room at the beginning of 7th period for the History and Government end of course exams.

*Cheer tryouts will be on May 16 at 9:00am! Practice for tryouts will be on May 12, 13, 14 from 7:30-9:00pm. Everything will take place in the HS gym.

*Washington D.C. class trip: Second payment is due tomorrow (April 17, 2026.) (Last payment is due May 15, 2026.)

*COFFEE, DONUTS & PRAYER, tomorrow at 6:45-7:30am St. Michael Church Basement. All High School students are welcome - it’s FREE- WHAT A GREAT WAY TO START YOUR DAY!

*Good Luck tonight to the: Varsity softball at 5:00pm at home against Hardin Northern & JV baseball at 5:00pm at Miller City.

*Reminder students going to religion, please stay on the sidewalk and off the neighbor’s grass.

*All State bound basketball shirts have been passed out to the students!!

*25-26 Yearbooks are on sale. Students in grades 7-12 will be in this yearbook. If you don’t want to order online and need an order form, please pick one up in the office. They are $60.00 and are due next Friday.

*Spring Band Concert: Grades 5-12. April 21 at 8:00pm in the Auditeria.

Important Reminders

*Any student interested in working for Kalida Local Schools this summer should pick up and complete an application from the office. Students must be 14 by June 1. High School students are paid $11 and anyone who has graduated, which includes this year’s seniors, will be able to make $14. Deadline to apply is May 8th.

*2025-2026 yearbooks are currently on sale and can be ordered online at jostensyearbook.com. Students in grades 7-12 will be in this yearbook. For anyone who prefers to not order online, order forms are available in the high school office. Please pick up a form in the office and return form and payment to the office or to Mrs. Unverferth. The cost is $60.00. Checks should be made payable to Kalida High School. Order forms and payment are due Friday, April 24th.

*Prom: May 2, 2026

*HS Academic Ceremony: May 6 at 8:00pm in the Auditeria

*Spring Music Concert: Grades 5-12. May 7 at 8:00pm in the Auditeria.

*Summer Athletic Performance Training for current grades 6-8. Please fill out form and send payment to the HS office.

*Ladycat basketball camp for current grades 2-7. Please return registration and payment to the office.

*Sports Physicals: May 9th with Dr. Klir, May 28th with Melissa, and August 6th with Megan. Please call The Kalida Medical Arts to schedule your appointment. 419-532-3952. Anyone in grades 7-12 playing a school sport will need a yearly physical.

*Immunizations: Incoming 7th graders and Seniors, Immunizations are required. If you do not wish to vaccinate, please pick up an Immunization Exemption Form in the HS office.
