School News and Updates

*7th, 8th & 9th period Study halls will be in the Auditeria today.
*Seniors- reminder that you have CPR training today from 12-1:30pm in the community room and lunch will be provided for you. Make sure to thank Mr. Walker. Juniors your CPR will be from 1:30-3pm. This is mandatory for all Seniors and Juniors.
*Activity period on Wednesday: Anyone taking an AP exam will meet with Mr. Clement in the Auditeria, and any Junior girl interested in running for Pioneer Queen will meet in the ASL room.
*The Kalida Sew and Sew 4-H club is having a meeting on Tuesday April 28th from 6:30 to 7:30 in the elementary cafeteria.
*HS Field Day is May 11. Tickets for lunch that the HS student council is making can be purchased in the office for $3. The cafeteria will not be serving high school lunch that day.
*Cats Who Care Members- All Service Hour Log Sheets from January 1 through April 30, 2026 MUST be turned in on FRIDAY, May 1st. All Service Hour Sheets must be turned into the tray inside Mrs. Warnecke's classroom by Friday (5/1/2026). If Service Hour Log Sheets are turned in late, the hours will not be figured into your yearly hours. The timing of the student recognition assembly and the final log collection date make it necessary to turn forms in on time.
*Summer Athletic Performance Training for current grades 6-8. Please fill out the form and send payment to the HS office.
*Great Job this weekend to the:  Varsity Track Athletes & Varsity baseball won over LCC
*Good Luck tonight to the: Jr. High Track Meet at 4:30pm at Fairview, 7th grade baseball at 5:00pm at Four Seasons Park against Crestview, JV baseball at 5:00pm at Defiance, Varsity baseball at 5:00pm at home against Ayersville & Varsity softball at 5:00pm at home against Ayersville.

Important Reminders

*Any student interested in working for Kalida Local Schools this summer should pick up and complete an application from the office. Students must be 14 by June 1. High School students are paid $11 and anyone who has graduated, which includes this year’s seniors, will be able to make $14. Deadline to apply is May 8th. 
*Cheer AND mascot tryouts will be on May 16 at 9:00am! Practice for tryouts will be on May 12, 13, 14 from 7:30-9:00pm. Everything will take place in the HS gym. Mascots need to attend these dates.
*Washington D.C. class trip: Last payment is due May 15, 2026. If you are unsure one what you owe, please contact Mr. Miller.
*Ladycat basketball camp for current grades 5-7. If interested, please return registration and payment to the office before May 8.
*Sports Physicals: May 9th with Dr. Klir, May 28th with Melissa, and August 6th with Megan. Please call The Kalida Medical Arts to schedule your appointment. 419-532-3952. Anyone in grades 7-12 playing a school sport will need a yearly physical.
*Immunizations: Incoming 7th graders and Seniors, Immunizations are required. If you do not wish to vaccinate, please pick up an Immunization Exemption Form in the HS office.
