School News and Updates

*2nd period study hall will be in the Auditeria today.
*Juniors- Mock Interviews are tomorrow be sure to dress appropriately.
*National Honor Society- Service logs are due by the end of the day Friday and SENIORS please complete your honor cord survey.
*Activity period today: Any junior or senior taking an AP exam will meet with Mr. Clement in the Auditeria, and any Junior girl interested in running for Pioneer Queen will meet in the ASL room.
*HS Field Day Lunch tickets are on sale in the HS office. They are $3.00, and available until the end of the week. There is also a volleyball signup sheet in the Auditeria if you want to play that day.
*If there is any Jr. High girl that wants to play summer softball that isn't already signed up to contact Coach Ricker or Coach Buss.
*Cats Who Care Members- All Service Hour Log Sheets MUST be put in the tray in Mrs. Warnecke’s room.  If sheets are turned in late they will not be counted.
*Anyone 14 years or older and would like to be the JV/Varsity volleyball home game line judge, please stop in the HS office.
*There are summer job opportunities outside Mr. Gables room if you would like to pick up an application.

*Prom: May 2, 2026- Please join us at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 4:30 pm Mass- There will be seats reserved for you. Please sit together within the pews marked with ribbons.
5/2- Jr. High softball at 10:00am at home against Wayne Trace
5/2- Varsity baseball at 10:00am at Tinora
*HS Academic Ceremony: May 6 at 8:00pm in the Auditeria
*Spring Music/Choir Concert: Grades 5-12. May 7 at 8:00pm in the Auditeria.

Important Reminders

*Summer Athletic Performance Training for current grades 5, 6 & 7th graders. Please fill out the form and send payment to the HS office.
*Washington D.C. class trip: Last payment is due May 15, 2026.
*Ladycat basketball camp for current grades 5-7. If interested, please return registration and payment to the office before May 8.
*Sports Physicals: May 9th with Dr. Klir, May 28th with Melissa, and August 6th with Megan. Please call The Kalida Medical Arts to schedule your appointment. 419-532-3952. Anyone in grades 7-12 playing a school sport will need a yearly physical.
*Immunizations: Incoming 7th graders and Seniors, Immunizations are required. If you do not wish to vaccinate, please pick up an Immunization Exemption Form in the HS office.
*Cheer AND mascot tryouts will be on May 16 at 9:00am! Practice for tryouts will be on May 12, 13, 14 from 7:30-9:00pm. Everything will take place in the HS gym. Mascots need to attend these dates.
*Any student interested in working for Kalida Local Schools this summer should pick up and complete an application from the office. Deadline to apply is May 8th.
