School News and Updates

*Reminder: the office is still missing some Exam sign out papers for those HS students that want to leave early on Wednesday or Thursday. Those were due Friday.
*ALL current 7th graders- please return your 8th grade reading order form to Mr. Clymer by the end of today.
*Summer Athletic Performance Training for current grades 5, 6 & 7th graders. Please fill out the form and send payment to the HS office.
*The Kalida Sew and Sew 4-H club is having a meeting on Tuesday, May 19th from 5:30 to 6:30 at 1820 Brew Works. Please bring your books.
*Please start cleaning out your lockers and take your signs down.
*Please check out the overflowing lost and found table everything will be donated on Friday.
*Boys basketball Camp: July 20, 21, 22 at the Kalida High School. Boys entering grades 6-8: 8:30am-10:00am, and Boys entering grades 3-5: 10:30am-12:00pm. Cost is $40.00. All forms are due to the HS office before May 21.
*Tomorrow is Bump Up day beginning at 1:00pm. We will be running on a different bell schedule. *Congratulations to the Softball team and their honors. They were 3-3 in the PCL and Sophie Vorst — District Honorable Mention and 1st Team PCL, Shelby Jerwers — 2nd Team PCL, Addie Brokamp — PCL Honorable Mention, Enna Meyers — PCL Honorable Mention, Kennedy Simon — PCL Honorable Mention, Kate Foppe — Scholar Athlete Award.
*Congratulations to the girls who competed at the OHSAA Junior High State Championships on Saturday. The 4x4 team, consisting of Kensley Smith, Avery Kerner, Shayla Krouse, and Kyla Unverferth, ran their best time of the year and finished 13th overall. Ivy Patrick had her best jump of the year in the finals, jumping 16' 4-3/4", which earned her a spot on the podium in 5th place.

Important Reminders

*If anyone has any empty plant containers, please drop them off in the green house.
*Sports Physicals: May 9th with Dr. Klir, May 28th with Melissa, and August 6th with Megan. Please call The Kalida Medical Arts to schedule your appointment. 419-532-3952. Anyone in grades 7-12 playing a school sport will need a yearly physical.
*Immunizations: Incoming 7th graders and Seniors, Immunizations are required. If you do not wish to vaccinate, please pick up an Immunization Exemption Form in the HS office.
*Boys and Girls ages 6-15 soccer camp forms are available in the Post Office. Soccer camp will be July 13-16, 2026 at Four Seasons Park. Boys from 8:30-10:30am. Girls from 11-1:00pm.
